Disaster Kleenup International is North America’s largest property damage restoration contracting organization. DKI has been an industry leader for over 30 years, and its affiliated contractors have won every major industry award, held leadership posistions in every critical industry organization, and have championed every market-changing innovation. Thanks to a strong membership, DKI is able to maintain such high values. Each contractor that becomes part of the DKI management must meet or exceed the following qualifications:

• A contractor must generate at least $500,000 in restoration sales per year ($1,500,000 if in a Top 50 market).
• A contractor must have a minimum of three years industry experience and possess the knowledge and ability to deal with the unusual needs and concerns of the market.
• A contractor must be able to commit to (through employee, sub-contractor, or alliance partner) the following services:
  • Emergency services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
  • Smoke, fire, water and wind damage mitigation services.
  • Total cleaning and deodorization services of structures, contents and clothing.
  • Pack-out, restoration and storage of contents.
  • Reconstruction services.
• A contractor must be able to provide letters of recommendation from three (3) insureds and three (3) adjusters.
• A contractor must allow a site inspection of your facility by a current DKI member or the DKI Corporate office.
• A contractor must supply a current liability insurance certificate for $2,000,000.
• A contractor must carry Worker's Compensation insurance for all employees as required by governing regulation.
• A contractor must not be a member of any competing industry franchise or have any affiliation with any competing industry franchise unless specifically approved by the DKI Board of Directors in writing.
• A contractor must be willing to abide by Disaster Kleenup International's marketing and branding standards.
• A contractor must submit a formal application for membership and have the application approved by the DKI membership committee and the DKI members.
